Hava Titanium - picture stutters

Postby gary.lavin on Sat Jun 05, 2010 4:26 pm

I got a Hava Titanium about a year ago and could never get it to work. The picture stuttered so much that it was not watchable. Didn't matter which PC I used, didn't matter if I was local or away from home. Hava is connected with a cable and has the latest software. Any suggestions?

I would love to help you out. Start with posting the router model and lan settings. What bit rate do you see on local. What else is running on your lan?

Thanks for the response, I currently have a D-Link DIR-655 router, I have had 2 other routers since I tried to get my Hava going. I have a 25MB down 3MB up cable connection but I have problems with local viewing and the Hava has a internet cable.

How do I check the local bit rate?

I have the same router and the same problem!! I got this router to replace my linksys wrt545gs v7. With the old router I never had this problem but I did have probs with quality. More the hava player than the router as when I started using MCE the quality improved dramtically. With the dir-655 the vid quality is better....except for the stutters!! If I find a solution I will post it here.

There are a lot of settings for that router

http://www.dlink.com/products/default.a ... -655&tab=3

I can click on emulator to see the set up

Look here

http://support.dlink.com/Emulators/dir6 ... aping.html

Try unchecking the Qos options or create a qos rule.

Make sure the firmware is upto date

Try enabling multi cast as well

Too many settings for this router!!! I've done everything except set up a qos rule. That's the next step. Hopefully this can be fixed because other than this one problem this is the best router I've ever owned!!

Even tried setting up a qos rule but still have the stutter in the video. :( Gonna give it it try on my old xp machine wireless and see if that will help.
